So the title says it all. If you've been reading my blog pretty regularly you will know that I have been stressed to the max. You know how they say that God will never give you more than you can handle? Well, I think he's pushing it a bit. So, my mom's boyfriend went in for a very serious surgery to explore his kidneys since they found kidney cancer on both a few months back. When my mom was here a few weeks ago, she said, "Why don't you come while Joe's in the hospital and we can spend some time together?" Which means she needs my professional organizing and throwing away of junk skills....yes, I am skilled in this area but sometimes it is a curse. I'm getting a deja vu here but a few years back I refinished my grandmother's desk that was probably about 100 years old and because I didn't have enough room really in my garage....I got rid of it....OUCH! Stupid, stupid, stupid! We have since rented a storage unit so I now have a spot for our keepsakes. Anyway, I am headed to Portland, Oregon on Thursday morning and I will have with me my little Jack so Doug doesn't have to stay home from work. I'm hoping to just hang out for a few days....probably see my dad since he hasn't seen Jack in a year, see Micah of course, and maybe even see my girlfriend Tina who I haven't seen in probably 8 years. I get back on Monday so I am gone a total of 5 days which is perfect. What could go wrong right? Unlike my husband when he goes away, I've put together an agenda of the days I'm gone and made arragements for Ryan after school both Thursday and Friday so no one has to come home early.
My mom's house is such a great place to get away....especially if it's raining! :-) This is a picture of the lake by her house that my brothers and I spent alot of summers swimming in and hiking at....good times. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1XaXyV1KOi-AJXGiquKc9_JjRMtfxiamIv-vrd-lM9zGzayMTVAm7FfYehxoHyGk_IdtzBin6S-xKSAcj1Y3HKMoc5hQtHJ_POwR27k9Ds0s9qAA8ll5oaSXdDmoKTHxiq3WLaPjV4NM/s400/battlegroundlake.jpg)

And here's a house in Portland that I wouldn't mind living in. I would soooo love to move back to the NW! Look at those amazing fall colors!

I have a get away weekend this weekend...the Ladies' Campout from our camping club. I'm taking the camper to a state park 2 hours away. Just planning to read a book, hike and bike ride. We don't even cook...we go out to eat. We'll sit around a campfire and have a few coctails. I'll be thinking of you too!
